Between 27th July and 24th August, the Basilica of San Vitale houses the 54th International Festival of Organ Music.
The International Festival of Organ Music is the first and oldest organ festival in Italy, and one of the oldest in Europe.
This festival is an event of great importance that features the best international organists playing an ancient Mascioni organ in the beautiful Basilica of San Vitale (Unesco Heritage).
The aim of the organizer Associazione Polifonica Adone Zecchi of Ravenna – a member of the important EGDO Europäische Gesellschaft der Orgel – is to protect the prestige, the tradition and the reputation of this festival.
The upcoming dates of this event are Monday, July 27 with Slawomir Kaminski, Monday, August 3 with Johannes Skudlik, Monday, August 10 with Roman Perucki, Monday, August 17 with Lars Frederiksen and Monday, August 24 with Inge Beck.
